"Frosty Morning"

Back in college, I had the best side job ever — walking dogs. Since I lived in a dorm and couldn’t have a pet, I grabbed any excuse to hang out with animals.

It was winter, and I used to wake up at 5 a.m. to cross the city for those early walks. The streets were quiet, my coffee barely kicked in, and the dogs were bouncing through the snow like it was the best day ever. After the walk, I’d rush back to the dorm, throw on clean clothes, and run off to my morning classes — usually still smelling a bit like wet dog and cold air :)

I loved every bit of it — the running, the cold, the dogs, the chaos. I was exhausted, freezing, and totally happy. This painting is my way of keeping that memory alive — my "frosty morning" forever on canvas.
